Microdermabrasion acne
What is Microdermabrasion?
It is a special treatment many dermatologists offer that could help your acne scars disappear or become less noticeable. Basically, the outermost layer of your skin gets peeled off. Microdermbrasion has just recently become popular as an acne treatment here in the United States.
Pros:
Microdermbrasion does help acne sufferers. At the very least it will make a noticeable difference in acne and acne scars, at best it could wipe acne out all together.
It has no real health risk assuming that you are undergoing microdermbrasion treatment with a serviceable dermatologist.
It is relatively pain free.
The microdermbrasion process goes by before you know it. From start to finish one session lasts between 30 minutes and an hour.
Cons:
The obvious knack against microdermbrasion is the cost, 6 treatments can cost anywhere between $300 and over $1,000. It definitely is not a cheap acne treatment.
Microdermbrasion acne treatments are needed about once a month to maintain a healthily facial complexion; this can drain both one’s time and money.
Unless you are sure of what you are doing, try to stay away from microdermbrasion at home kits. Although these kits do run at a significant discount to actual microdermbrasion acne treatments, they are not as effective, especially when they are not used correctly.
If you’ve got enough time and cash, microdermbrasion acne treatments will be worth it, if not, look into researching other, cheaper, acne treatments.
