Adult acne
Acne does not just come to teens, many adults have to deal with it as well. If you are an adult with acne don’t feel ashamed or feel as if you are “the only one” suffering from this problem, there are plenty of adults out their with acne. The difference is that adult acne is usually not as severe as acne in younger people. Adult acne effects nearly half of all women and more then a quarter of all adult men.
One reason that adults are routinely plagued with acne is the extra stresses an adult has to deal with. Teens don’t have to worry about keeping their jobs, paying bills etc…, stress can be a major cause of acne in general. Adult acne is rising steadily with each passing decade according to dermatologists.
Women are more prone to adult acne then men are, one of the major reasons for this is that women use more in the way of facial cosmetics then men do on average. If you are an adult woman, or a man for that matter, who is suffering from acne, think about certain creams or other products you use regularly on your face. Do they make your face more oily or less oily? If so, this could be the main cause of acne. Stop using the facial products for a few days and see if there is any difference in your facial complexion.
