July 8th, 2009

Acne vulgaris is basically the “technical” name for acne. Acne vulgaris effects up to 85% of people at some point in their lifetime, so if you feel weird about having acne don’t! The people that aren’t suffering from acne vulgaris are the weird ones!

Once someone reaches early adulthood, early to mid twenties, their acne tends to diminsh in severity and popularity, but adult acne is still prevalent.

Acne is most popular on someones face, but it routinely attacks the back, legs, chest, and even the inside of someone’s ears!

Acne is caused by a blockages in someone’s follicles, basically where oily skin, dead hair particles, and dirt combine to make a pimple.

Genetic history also plays a huge role in acne vulgaris. Other causes/factors include:

  1. Hormones.
  2. Taking steroids/ testosterone boosters. This is just a bad idea for your health overall in the first place without even considering the rath that steroids could have acne wise.
  3. Cleanliness.
  4. Health, drinking lots of water and eating a lot fat diet will help prevent acne.
  5. Stress! Some may be surprised to hear this, but stress does awful things to someones body overall, including making acne worse and more plentiful.
