Natural acne treatment

July 8th, 2009

Most acne treatments involve chemicals that could potentially leave harsh side effects for both your body, and the environment. Natural acne treatment can be healthier, safer, and cheaper!

Zinc: Zinc can be taken to treat acne. In studies, zinc performed better than a placebo did, meaning that it does work. However zinc is not as effective as other, more stronger and traditionally forms of acne treatment. If you have just mild acne though, zinc is a great natural acne treatment because its natural, cheap, and effective.

This is not necessarily a natural acne “treatment”, but if you are looking to get rid of or diminish your acne, try replacing high GI carbs with lower GI carbs. GI stands for Glycemic index, high GI carbs, like white bread, pasta, and sugars are generally the carbohydrates that are thought of as bad for you. Lower GI carbs include: Whole wheat bread, fruit, milk… Carbohydrates that also have fiber and other healthy vitamins and minerals as well. Eating healthy and exercising has countless benefits! Eating more low GI carbs compared to high GI carbs can decrease your acne by up to 50% in some cases!

If a “natural” acne treatment ever costs more than a traditional form of treatment, the chances are that the “natural” treatment is likely BS. Natural treatments do not have to be man made so they should, in almost every situation, come at a significant discount to other chemical treatments.
