Antibiotic for acne

July 11th, 2009

Antibiotics can be great treatments for acne. Acne is caused by hairs and sebaceous glands mixing together. Antibiotics often work by blocking follicle’s from becoming infected.

How do I know what antibiotic’s will work to help my acne problem?

I would like to think that I know at least a little on the subject of acne, but nevertheless, I’m not magical! Everyone is different. Everyone has different bodies, everyone has a different acne situation, every single person responds differently to each types of individual antibiotic acne treatments. I simply cannot blindly recommend one specific treatment for everyone, that would be irresponsible by my part.

I have, though, written articles on different acne antibiotic treatments, and I am currently in the process of writing a few more.

Benzoyl peroxide is a potentially helpful acne antibiotic. Click on the link to see the full verdict, but here’s the cliffnotes:

  • It’s cheap
  • It’s safe
  • It works for many.

Salicylic acid acne is another alternative. It again is safe, cheap, and potentially helpful.

Other articles I’ve written about antibiotic acne treatments:

Minocycline acne treatment

Tetracycline acne treatment

Glycollic acid acne treatment

Living as healthy as possible and looking for natural remedies/cures for acne is my favorite way to reduce acne’s presence, but my favorite non-natural treatment would be antibiotic acne treatments. They have been proven to work and generally come at a discount to more expensive designer creams and gels.
