Types of pimples
Whiteheads: These are one of the most popular types of pimples. They occur when a pore is completely blocked, trapping oil and dead skin cells. The good news is that whiteheads are far from the worst type of pimples, and they are usually quick to go away.
Blackheads: Unlike whiteheads, blackheads pop up when a pore is only partially blocked. Like the name suggests, the head of the pimple is black. Blackheads are moderate in severity and usually last a little longer than whiteheads do.
Papules: These are the types of acne with no head. It is important to remember to never pop these types of pimples. It will do no good whatsoever and it will increase the probability of scarring!
Nodular pimples: These are large pimples with no heads. They generally hurt worse than the average whitehead or blackhead. The worst part about these pimples is that they can stay on someone’s face for as long as months compared to a normal pimple’s lifespan which is a couple of days. Nodular pimples are likely the least desirable of all the types of pimples.
Cystic Pimples: These pimples behave like a normal whitehead or blackhead would, except that they are much bigger, much more noticeable, and they are much more painful. Click on the link above if you are looking for more information about cystic pimples.
