Chemical acne peels
July 17th, 2009
Chemical peels is an acne scar treatment option.
Why chemical peels are attractive:
- They can do wonders on mild acne scars.
- Chemical peel treatment costs much less than microdermabraion treatment and laser treatment for acne scars.
- Chemical peels often makes skin feel softer after treatment.
- Chemical peels may help ward off pesky cystic pimples as well.
A few potential downsides to peel treatment:
- It is still not cheap! Treatments can range beweteen 50-500 dollars a pop! I don’t know about you, but that is still a lot of money to me. I wouldn’t invest this amount of money in yourself unless acne scars are a big deal to you, or you are confident that a chemical peel will work for you.
- They don’t always work. For everyone that has had a good experience with peels, there is someone that has not. Are you willing to spend your time and money on something that might not work?
- You will probably need more than one treatment for the effects to last on your face. More treatments =’s more of your time and money. Just another thing to consider.
