Infected pimple?
If you believe that you have a pimple that may be infected, book a visit to the dermatologist as soon as you can! Pimples do get infected and it is not a fun process, the earlier you notice an abnormal pimple, the quicker you will be able to treat it and the easier it will be.
Another thing to remember is to not “play around with the pimple”. Do not pop a pimple that you think may be infected, do not touch it unless you have to… Messing with the pimple can only make matters worse.
The best way to avoid getting an infected pimple is to limit the number of pimples that you get in the first place. This means living healthy, keeping your face and wherever else you get pimples clean, and following many of the other guidelines I have talked about on this site.
The only real way to treat a pimple that you think might be infected is to go to a dermatologist, plain and simple. There is nothing that you can really do at home to treat an infected pimple, the acne treatment that works best for your normal pimples could make an infected pimple even worse.
