Erythromycin for acne
July 21st, 2009
Erythromycin is an antibiotic that can be used to treat acne. Erythromycin can be used with gels, creams, pads… Any possible type of treatment really.
Pro’s for Erythromycin:
- Erythromycin can be found at very, very cheap prices. Certain acne treatments, especially treatments like microdermabrasion and laser treatments can cost several hundreds, possibly thousands of dollars. That is ridicolous in my mind, you can find Erythromycin acne treatments for mere pocket change in comparison.
- Erythromycin can do wonders on moderate acne and can even help clear up more serious acne situations.
Con’s to Erythromycin treatment for acne:
- Erythromycin can take a long time to work for many. We are talking months here. For some though, you may be able to notice results within days. It all depends on what type of particular treatment you are taking and your personal situation.
- Erythromycin can sometimes be hard on one’s stomach. If you have any stomach issues at all, you should probably avoid this type of treatment.
- After several months or years of use, your body may develop a resistance to Erythromycin. This is nothing out of the ordinary, but it is something to think about.
Erythromycin come’s with it’s downsides and side effects, but overall, it works and its cheap so that means that it is always worth a try.
