Acne scar cream

July 23rd, 2009

Most acne scar treatments are very expensive. Microdermabrasion treatments can cost thousands of dollars and laser treatments are not any cheaper. Most treatments for acne scars simply are not worth it, especially in this economy. Thankfully, there are a myriad of acne scar creams that may be a lower cost solution to your problem.

Acne scar creams usually retail in the high XX [60-99] or low XXX [100-300] range. This isn’t cheap, but if you find a cream treatment that you and your dermatologist both see promise in, it could definitely be worth it.

Most legitimate acne scar creams are available at a pharmacy and require a prescription. If you see a cream that does not require a prescription and promises to be the “savior” for your acne troubles, it is likely BS. Acne scars are obviously very tough to treat, so it will usually take a high powered treatment that requires a prescription to treat the scars in most cases.

There are a few other very cheap creams [10-40 dollars] available that might be what you are looking for. If a reputable company is selling it [Dove, Maybeline... It doesn't really matter as long as the company has a decent track record] look up the product and see if it has gotten good reviews.
