Augmentation for acne scars
July 25th, 2009
Augmentation is a viable treatment for reducing the appearance of acne scars. Like most treatments for acne scars, augmentation is not cheap, but if getting rid of acne scars is a big deal to you, it could be worth it.
What I like about Augmentation:
- It works for most people. Plain and simple. Getting rid of acne is hard enough, but getting rid of acne scars can be borderline impossible at times. Make sure you feel comfortable with the doctor/dermatologist that will be doing the treatment before spending money on augmentation.
What I don’t like about augmentation acne treatment:
- It is very expensive. 500-1000 dollars is an unreasonable price to pay for many for acne treatment. With the shape that the economy is in augmentation treatment does not make much sense.
- It doesn’t work for everyone. Although augmentation is one of the most effective types of treatments you do not want to spend nearly a thousand dollars on an acne treatment that may not work or may not clear up your acne scars completely.
In the end Augmentation makes since only for those that are serious about their acne. Augmentation is a lot more like plastic surgery when it comes to cost then an actual acne treatment.
