Honey for acne
August 4th, 2009
Honey masks can do wonders for acne.
Pro’s to using honey for the treatment of acne:
- Honey is really, really cheap, a couple of dollars for 8 ounces or so. You will only need about two tablespoons for your honey mask for acne, so the cost is as close to free as it gets.
- Honey is completely natural. This should give you piece of mind. So many acne treatments can have serious side effects, sometimes it is just not worth the risk. In the end, it is only acne, you shouldn’t risk our health.
- It works for a lot of people! It won’t do anything remarkable. But you should be able to see noticeable improvement soon after applying the mask.
Drawbacks to honey masks:
- This should be obvious, but it can get sticky. Honey is obvoiusly sticky, and when you try to take the “mask” off, it can be difficult. If this is the one main drawback though, you have nothing to lose.
- Your skin can become mildly irritated at worse.
If you are interested in using honey to treat acne, I encourage you to give it a try! Take a few tablespoons of honey, mix in a little cinnamon and viola, a honey mask!
