Ocular Rosacea
Roughly 60% of the people with Rosacea also suffer from Ocular Rosacea.
Symptoms of Ocular Rosacea include:
- Routine redness of the eyes/ eye lids.
- Dryness and iritiation of the eyes and the area around the eyes.
- Chronic “stye’s”
If you believe that you may have Ocular Rosacea, it is imperitive that you talk to a dermatologist as soon as you can. He or she may be able to prescribe treatments for your problem, or at the very least give you a few “pointers” on how to deal with Ocular Rosacea.
The best thing that you can do to treat Ocular Rosacea on your own is to avoid excess contact with the sun. Don’t worry, you can still go outside, just make sure that you are wearing a good amount of high spf sunscreen while you are outside and wear a hat that covers your eyes from the sun if possible.
Also try to avoid drinking alcohol, especially in excess if you have Ocular Rosacea. Other good practices include avoiding spicey foods and drinks as well.
