Azelaic acid for acne

August 19th, 2009

Azelaic acid is an interesting acne fighter.

Price: This is where Azelaic acid really starts to lose ground to its competitors. It can cost almost one hundred dollars for a decent amount of it so it is certainly not cheap. Acne is really only a cosmetic problem so I make sure to not spend to much time or money worrying about it. If you do not have the budget for Azelaic acid there are dozens of different products that I have reviewed here that are fairly cheap and similar to Azelaic acid.

Side effects: The one main side effect that Azelaic acid has that makes it stand out is a rather intense burning sensation that you will likely feel upon applying it to your face. If you have a low main tolerance this acne treatment is certainly not for you.

Effectiveness: It varies from person to person, but some do see a remarkable improvement after using Azelaic acid. It all depends on your particular situation and how your body responds.

If you are serious about getting rid of acne and you have a pretty high budget try it out, if not, go for a cheaper, more sensible option.
