Garlic for acne

August 19th, 2009

Garlic is an interesting acne/pimple treater.

Price: Garlic is extremely cheap which makes it worth a try in my opinion. Garlic is readily available at most grocery stores for a buck or two at most.

Side effects: Garlic is natural so you do not have to worry about any serious long term side effects to your face or something like depression. However, as we all know, it does not smell particularly good, and when you apply it to your face, your face is not going to smell too good either, so that is always something to remember. Also many have reported that their face felt “stinged” while applying and a few minutes after applying Garlic to their face.

Effectiveness: Use garlic for acne if you are trying to treat a pimple or an acne scar, not if you are trying to prevent acne. Garlic’s effectiveness really just depends on you and your particular pimple. It is certainly worth a try if you are looking to reduce the severity of the pimples that you get.
