Clean and clear’s acne kit is one of the best selling acne treatments on the market, and for good reason.
The “acne kit” is fairly priced to say the least. You will pay somewhere between 10 and 20 dollars for the kit depending on where and when you buy it. That is as cheap as it gets for an acne product made by a name brand for the sole purpose of treating acne. A lot of treatments, like honey masks for example, are cheaper, but honey is obviously no made to treat acne exclusively.
The effectiveness of clean and clear’s kit is pretty impressive. It will not do miracles for your acne, but at least 75% of people who have used the acne kit saw at least a moderate improvement in your acne. You can expect to see a noticeable difference in your acne at the very least.
There are no real serious side effects, which means clean and clear’s acne kit qualifies for my famous tri-fecta of acne products: It is cheap, effective, and safe, the three things that I look for in an acne product.
Proactiv is the biggest and one of the most trusted brands in acne. They obviously did not become this way by making acne products that do not work to an extent for most people, but I definitely think that there are better options out their.
They advertise that there products are fairly cheap, which they are, and that they work well for most, which they do, but they fail to mention one costly topic. Most of proactiv products come in very small containers, usually no bigger than a few ounces. These products will last you no more than a few weeks if you are using them daily.
That is really a genius move by Proactiv. They forcing their users to buy and buy and buy all there different products each month or sooner, earning Proactiv reacurring profits. Instead of making an average of 20 dollars lifetime a customer for example, proactiv is probably making at least 50 dollars per customer on average.
Like I said earlier, Proactiv is a decent brand, but there are better options out their.
Stievamycin is a pretty solid acne treatment that is worth a try for most people suffering from acne.
Stievamycin is pretty cheap, which is definitely a great attribute for an acne treatment to have. You should pay no more than 20 dollars for a decent amount of treatment, likely less at most places. 20 bucks is not dirt cheap, but it is fairly inexpensive in the skin care world.
Another great thing about Stievamycin is that it works well for most people. Not everyone will see great results from this treatment, but there is no treatment in the world that will please everyone. Expect at least a moderate improvement in your acne while taking Stievamycin.
The one main side effect that has been reported from dozens of different people who have taken this treatment is that it is very peeling at time. Similar to the way that sunburn can peel off after a couple of days. This does not happen with everyone but it is common.
Overall Stievamycin is a cheap, safe, effective treatment, any acne treatment that has those three attributes is definitely worth a try.
I respect Proactiv as a brand, but their products are simply not worth the money when compared to similar treatments. The green tea moisturizer is no exception.
I think that Proactiv is just trying to capitalize on the new “green” movement and the reported health benefits of green tea by making this moisturizing product. In my mind it is certainly not any more special than any other acne treatment.
However it is not all bad news for Proactiv and their new moisturizer. I must say that the green tea gel is pretty impressive in a couple of areas:
- There are virtually no negative side effects. That is almost unheard of in the acne field.
- The gel has a nice smell, consistently, and unlike many of its counterparts, it actually smells pretty good, so you do not have to be embarrased to put it on.
All in all, this is a decent product from Proactiv. Unfortunately though, I do not think that the small 4-6 ounce container it comes in warrants the 20+ dollar price. There are better options out their for your money.
Clean and clear is probably my favorite big name brand acne company.
Their “advantage” acne cleanser product ranks pretty high up on my mental list of the top acne products out their. One of the main reasons that I have so much respect for the acne cleanser is the price, you should be able to buy a large container of the cleanser for under twenty dollars. Twenty dollars for months worth of treatment is certainly a good deal, especially when you compare it to similar products.
Another reason why I am so high on Clean and clear’s advatage cleanser is that it not only reduces the appearance of pre existing acne, it also helps prevent acne from popping up, and smooth’s out the face in general. Overall it is a great skin care product.
If you have serious acne, this acne cleanser is not for you, but if you have moderate acne and you are looking for a mild improvement at a cheap price, you have found your answer!
