Depending on its severity, body acne can range from unnoticeable to very embarrassing. It is important to remember though, body acne is almost as common as facial acne, you are definitely not the only person that is suffering from this.
Body acne is highly genetic, meaning that it passes through the generations. If one of your parents had body acne, you are at a higher risk to get it. Facial acne generally looks the same no matter what, sometimes you get a big pimple on your face, sometimes you get a smaller one… You know the deal, but body acne has a broader range of its looks, feel, sizes… You never really know what you are going to get, this is normal.
Body acne is often caused by the irritation of one’s skin. If you notice that certain clothes/ accessories are causing acne across your body, it may be wise to avoid wearing it. Also, there are rumours that fabric softener can make body acne worse, so try to avoid using it if you can.
If you have mild to moderate body acne, then whatever normal acne treatment that works for you on your face should work for you on your body [in most cases]. If you have severe acne, I highly recommend that you book a visit to your dermatologist. They know what they are doing, and they have the power to prescribe to you powerful body acne treatments that you will not be able to buy over the counter.
Leg pimples are far from the most glamorous accessory you could have.
How to get rid of pimples on your legs:
- Clean your legs regularly. Doing this will cut down on the dirt and oily that stays on your legs, which is what can cause leg pimples.
- If you have pretty serious leg pimples, visit a dermatologist. Not only do they know what they are talking about, they have the power to be able to prescribe to you many different effective acne treatments that you will not be able to get over the counter.
Why leg pimples are not as bad as you think they are:
- You are probably the only person that ever notices them. People, especially teenagers, tend to be really tough on themselves when it comes to the way that they look. Be honest: How many times have you noticed leg pimples on someone else? Probably never.
- They are easier to cover up. If your leg pimples are rather severe, then you are still not in a bad situation. You can where clothes that can cover up leg pimples. It’s a lot harder to cover up a pimple on your face then it is to cover up a pimple on your leg!
Chest pimples are actually fairly common, so if you get pimples on your chest, do not feel ashamed. One thing that makes chest pimples a little more… tricky to treat is that they are often much harder the pop than regular pimples on your face are. When you do decide to pop pimples on your chest, make sure to do so carefully. Chest pimples tend to spread around more easily, making the situation anything but better.
I repeat this over and over like a broken record: Make sure you are keeping your chest [in this case] clean! Wash it regularly and wash it well. You want to keep dust, dirt, and oils from becoming clogged, that’s how acne pops up!
If you truly want to avoid having pimples on your chest, consider trying to change your lifestyle. This means transforming your diet, switching from high fat junk foods to a more balanced diet full of “greens” will do wonders for your acne situation as well as your overall help. Also, drink as much water as you possibly can. Making these switches is not easy, but you will reap so many benefits, both acne wise and health wise, that living healthier is almost a no-brainer.
Do you have arm pimples? If so, do not feel ashamed, millions of other people do as well!
If you are looking to get rid of those pesky arm pimples, I offer you one main piece of advice: Live a healthier life! Your skin is a direct reflection of how healthy your body is. If you’re skin is constantly ravaged by pimples, rashes and the like, you either have a pretty serious problem, or more likely, you are not living healthy enough.
If you make one change in your lifestyle habits, just make sure you drink lots of water. Forget preset rules like 6 cups a day, half a gallon a day… Just drink as much water as you can, especially when its hot outside. Drinking water cleanses your system, you’ll get rid of colds/ viruses faster, you will negate much of your sodium intake, and switching from soda’s to water will cut down drastically your daily sugar, carb, and calorie intake.
Another thing to remember for those of you suffering from a myriad of arm pimples: Don’t worry about it! Like I said earlier, millions of others have this problem, and you are probably the only one that actually notices!
Nose pimples are the worst! They usually end up being the biggest, hurting the most, and being the most noticeable. Pre-teens, teenagers, and even many adults regularly get nose pimples. The nose contains many more nerve endings then does regular skin on the face for example, so that is why an average pimple on your nose hurts much more then an average pimple on any other skin.
[Warning, this article is about to get a little nasty.]
Guess what one of the main causes of nose pimples is? Picking you nose! Picking your nose gets bacteria from the inside of your nose on your fingers and finger nails, throughout the day this bacteria will be transplanted to the outside layer of your nose, because the normal person touches their nose fairly often throughout the course of a day.
Also, for guys out their, trimming your nose hair can cause small cuts with inside of the nose, allowing for a nose pimple to pop up.
So if you are having trouble with nose pimples, try to stay away from picking your nose, or picking hairs from your nose for a few weeks and see if your situation improves.
