Pimples on scalp

June 28th, 2009 No comments

Unless you shave your head, pimples on your scalp are likely tough for anyone else to see, which is a plus, but this does not mean that scalp pimples are not a pain.

Scalp pimples can be different then normal pimples because often times scalp pimples involve an inflamed piece of hair. Pimples on the scalp can easily become infected, so if your situation ever worsens, it is important to seek a doctor. Most scalp pimples, thankfully, do not result in an infection.

Scalp pimples are usually discovered after brushing or treating your hair. It is important to remember to take it easy on your scalp, I.E. No excessive brushing, shampooing, blow drying… You can still take care of your hair, just be sure to keep your scalp pimple[s] in mind.

It is possible that your scalp pimples were caused by a potential allergic reaction to any hair products you may have been using. If you suspect this may be the case be sure to switch products immediately and see if your situation improves.

Pimples on back

June 27th, 2009 Comments off

Do you have pimples on your back? Although someone’s face is obviously the most looked at place on their body, having pimples anywhere else can be embarrassing considering that they are not expected to be anywhere else.

Back pimples are harder to prevent and treat because it is harder to clean your back and it is harder to get a good view of it.

Here are a few basic tips if you want to avoid back pimples:

  1. This seems obvious, and it is, but do your very best to keep your back as clean as possible. Wash it often. Make sure that the shirts you wear are as clean as possible.
  2. Resist the urge to scratch/ touch your back with unclean hands. You have oils naturally in your hand and when you touch your back with your hands, you are predisposing yourself to more back pimples.

Here are a few tips on how to treat back pimples:

  1. Rub any proven acne gel on the back pimple at least twice a day. This will disinfect and hopefully shorten the lifespan of your back pimple[s].
  2. Try not to pop your back pimple. Popping it will not make it look any better, in fact your back could look worse after you pop your pimple, and it could leave lasting acne scars.
  3. Do not make a big deal about it. You are not the only one that gets back pimples, being awkward; trying to avoid revealing your back, being upset about it… it’s not worth it. It is likely that you are making to big of a deal about this in the first place.
